ARTICLES OF FAITH
On the Bible: The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is inerrant, reliable, and holds the key to every human need.
(See John 5:39; Matthew 24:35; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21.)
On Salvation: We hold to the same instructions given by the Apostle Peter in Acts 2:38. Full salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ, repentance from sin, water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The Spirit bears witness to the new birth of the believer, leading and translating the new convert into the spiritual Kingdom of God. The Spirit also helps the new believer to succumb to God’s will by becoming a living testimony to the indwelling Spirit and nature of Jesus Christ.
(See Acts 8:16; 10:44-48; 19:1-7; 22:16.)
On the Deity of Yahshua, Jesus Christ: We believe that there is only one God who has manifested Himself to the world in the person of Jesus Christ. The divine nature that resided in Christ was the selfsame Yahweh of the Old Testament and the Holy Spirit of the Church age.
(See Isaiah 9:6; John 8:58; John 14:8-11; Colossians 2:9-10.)
On Holiness: We teach that a truly born again, Spirit filled believer, should desire a life-style that is pleasing to God in every aspect of human life. The Scriptures make it clear that dress, conduct, amusements, morality, speech and all other activities are important attributes of the converted believer’s confession and also a living testimony to a yielded temple for the indwelling Spirit of God.
(See Romans 12:1-2; I Corinthians 11:1-15; Galatians 5:16-26.)
On Miracles and Divine Healing: Yahshua, Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). God can heal, deliver, and work miracles in the twenty-first century just as He did in the first. We have the right and confidence to trust Him for this in Jesus’ Name.
On Christ’s Return: We look for the literal, personal return of Christ; for His Church (I Thessalonians 4:16-18) and secondly, to set up a kingdom that shall rule in peace.
(See Acts 1-11; II Timothy 4-8; Revelations 20:6.)
On The Ten Commandments of God:
Rom 7:22
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:12
Wherefore the law [is] holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Rom 7:14
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
1 Cr 7:19
Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
Rev 12:17
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev. 14:12
Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Heb 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
2 Cor 13:5
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Matt 5:17
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
The Ten Commandment have not been abolished, but rather they have been moved from the stones tablets into the flesh heart of those who have the Spirit of Christ indwelling the temple.
1 Cr 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
